BEACH Volleyball Summer 2016!

BEACH Volleyball News!

Thank you for all the interest in our new

Beach Volleyball Program

The 2016 Summer Beach Volleyball Program is now Full!

March Update:

It is time to grab the sunscreen and hit the sand...the EP girls summer beach volleyball program is just a few short months away.  Here are the specifics:

Program Eligibility

Girls entering the 7th grade through 12th grade.  The Eden Prairie volleyball program is available to all payers who live in Eden Prairie, attend Eden Prairie schools or have a parent that works in Eden Prairie.  Exception: In the event a team can't be filled with players that meet the above criteria, remaining roster spots may be filled with players not from Eden Prairie with priority given to girls who were eligible at one time and had played in the Eden Prairie program previously.

Also, all players must have had JO volleyball experience.

Eric Poppleman

Eric Poppelman comes to Eden Prairie's program with experience in beach volleyball and several head coaching positions with Northern Lights (18-2’s & 16-2’s) and Cardinal Stritch University.  Eric noticed a void in beach volleyball opportunities for young players and started Surface Beach VBC in 2015.  With the experience from his Surface Beach program and passion around coaching volleyball, he is going to be a phenomenal addition to our program. Eric has already been instrumental in the development of the EP beach program.

Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson will also be coaching alongside Eric.  He has 19 seasons of coaching experience with both boys and girls, ranging in age from 12 to 18... 12 seasons in Chicago coaching 9A, JV and as varsity assistant at GBS high school, including a 3rd place IL state tournament finish. The last 7 seasons have been in MN with Chanhassen CV (12-1, 13-1 and 14-2), Chanhassen HS (B-squad) and EPHS (9A&B).

Registration dates:

March 19 - 8:00a for players who live in Eden Prairie, attend Eden Prairie schools, or have a parent that works in Eden Prairie.

April 10 - 12:00p for non-residents, if space is available.

We encourage, highly recommend, when registering, to list your partner in the space provided on the registration page.

Registration will be at the Epvolleyball.com website beginning March 19.

Beach Volleyball Costs

We anticipate the summer beach program fee to be around $400.  The final fee will be determined by the number of players who are signed up.
