Chad Becker
More info on Chad can be found on the Club Director's page
In addition to his Director role and oversight / directing of practices for ALL U14 and U12 teams
Chad Becker will be the Head Coach of 14-1s team.

With Becker’s guidance as the EPVA director and U14 head coach Eden Prairie’s youth volleyball program is aligned with a progression to the High School program.   His involvement also carries out EPVA’s goal to be a top choice club for girls to advance their skills and play of volleyball.  Chad Becker’s volleyball leadership within Eden Prairie dates back to 1996 when he first joined the High School Coaches Team.   Becker advanced to his current position of Head Varsity Coach for the Eden Prairie Eagles which he has held since 2006.  The Eagles are consistently a top ranked team in their conference under Becker’s leadership.  In 2011, Eden Prairie won its first Class AAA Volleyball State Championship title.  Becker was also named “Coach of the Year” in 2011 for Class AAA by the MN Volleyball Coaches Association.

Chad played for Naperville North High School (IL) and went on to play for the Univ of MN Men's Club - both at the setter position. Following college Chad went on to coach for EP Girls Athletic Association, Club Tonka and then spent 13 years coaching at Northern Lights before joining the EPVA.

Scott Johnson

Scott is very excited to join Club EP. Scott spent his volleyball playing days in southern California earning all-conference and all-state honors in high school and went on to play at El Camino College and at UC Riverside.  After spending 7 years working in the video game industry, Scott returned to school to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education, graduating with high honors from DePaul University. Scott’s decision to leave corporate America to teach high school was highly inspired by his desire to coach volleyball (as well as his wife’s desire to move back to Chicago). Scott moved to MN in 2011. He has 19 seasons of coaching experience with both boys and girls, ranging in age from 12 to 18... 12 seasons in Chicago coaching 9A, JV and as varsity assistant at GBS high school, including a 3rd place IL state tournament finish. The last 7 seasons have been in MN with Chanhassen CV (12-1, 13-1 and 14-2), Chanhassen HS (B-squad) and EPHS (9B).

Abby Johnson

Abby grew up in Eden Prairie, MN and began playing club volleyball at the age of 12 where she played as a defensive specialist for Eden Prairie. During high school she played primarily in the back row for JV and Varsity. Graduating high school in 2008, she went on to get a BS in Athletic Training from UW-Eau Claire. She played intramural volleyball and went on to win many league seasons as well as work as a volleyball referee in her free time. Most recently, Abby graduated from UW-Madison with a MS in Kinesiology. She brings to the program extensive experience working with a variety of athletes and is excited to help develop each girl as an athlete and leader!

‚ÄčAmy Johnson

Amy started playing volleyball when she was 10 years old and JO's when she was 12 and that is where her love for setting started. She attended Kennedy High School and was a 4 year letter winner, 2 year team captain and 2 year MVP. Her junior and senior year of JO she played at Club Tonka where she was coached by Chad Becker. To further her love of setting Amy attended setting camps taught by the U of M setting coach during the summer. Amy attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls where she played setter and defensive specialist. During college Amy helped with camps during the off season. After college she coached at Northern Lights for 4 years at the 14 age level and 1 year at Eden Prairie 14.  She was the assistant varsity coach at Eden Prairie for 3 years.

Molly (Brion) Johnson

I grew up in a small town near Rice Lake Wisconsin. After High school I decided to stay fairly close to home and attended UW- Stout where I played Volleyball, ran Track, and coached club volleyball for a season. I graduated in May 2017 and got a job teaching in Rogers, Minnesota. I had the opportunity to coach their 16's club team (Velocity) for a season. This past summer I got a job here in Eden Prairie with both teaching elementary art at Eden Lake, Prairie View, and Forest Hills and coaching the B Squad volleyball team. I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls here and the coaching staff. In my free time, you can find me out on the boat doing water activities, hanging out with family and friends, or crafting.

Maureen (Mo) Reiling

I’ve lived here in Eden Prairie my whole life and began playing volleyball in 5th grade. In 6th grade, I played my first club season and continued to play a total of 6 club seasons with EPVA. As a freshman in high school, I began playing in the high school program. I was chosen as a team captain my junior year on JV and also my senior year on varsity. Last summer, I assisted in coaching the Beginner’s All Skills Camp through EPVA. I look forward to spending a full season with the girls!
